ANYWAY this is the Toyota Tank, which is, more or less, the 3rd generation Toyota Bb/Scion xB. Sliding rear doors and that awesome transparent A-pillar. I dig it, but not as much as the badge-engineered Daihatsu version:
BEHOLD! THE DAIHATSU THOR! I would drive the fuck out of that. Partly because I love my old xB. Mostly because I want to drive a car named Thor.

No, I don’t bend very easily.

You guys are weird. I think the Daihatsu Thor looks like crap, but love the Toyota Tank.

It’s too bad that the second generation is such a disappointment that it killed not just model but led to the end of the brand.
I would love to have a few of these for company vehicles.

The second generation we got was a rebadged Corolla Rumion, this is the actual second generation Bb. I think it’s pretty great. Between the original and the tank, though, it’s the weakest.

The Thor is a slightly more agressive version of the Toyota Roomy, which is the less aggressive version of the Tank.

They are so neat, full of pockets, holes and places to cram stuff in. I really like how thay maximize space, form follows function and all that. Apparently two complete road cycles, plus other stuff, will fit if you fold the backseats flat.
The Neat is Unstoppable!

Sliding rear doors?! That is so awesome.

Looks like it’s quite a bit taller than the first-gen US xB, although not as long, for what it’s worth.

Who are you calling an appliance?

I’d rock this styling on a larger xB like the US size, but as it is, no thx!

You wanna see a Toyota tank, here’s one.

THE PASSENGER-SIDE STORAGE NOOK IS BACK!
They removed it from the second generation Bb, because they were required to make it worse or something:
AND IT’S BACK!
Interestingly enough, the fat stupid not a real Squarecar second-gen xB kept the nook alive:
And as a bonus, the nook in the Prius C:

That costs almost nothing and is extremely practical. Good job Toyota.

It’s amazing how much you wind up using it. Also, the one in the xB has what’s like a little pencil cup on the side closest to the driver, for the things that are too small and would slide around on the shelf itself. What I used it the most for was the pair of gloves I kept in the car, since New England winters are so fucking cold you need those gloves and you need them RIGHT FUCKING NOW and a box just adds to the horrible freezing pain.
